Pilates & Movement Training
I don’t just teach you Pilates exercises, I teach you about your body and how to move it better. Each body is unique and so is the workout we create. ~ Cindy Willems
Your body is your lifelong home, and it deserves care, strength, and balance at every stage of life. I specialize in classical Pilates and movement training designed to support and empower women through all phases—including motherhood, midlife, and beyond.
With nearly 20 years of experience and a deep understanding of the body’s evolving needs, I don’t just teach exercises I teach my clients about their body through thoughtfully designed movement sessions that can strengthen, restore, and invigorate them. As a third-generation Pilates instructor, I’ve cultivated a repertoire of creative and effective exercises that not only challenge and build resilience but also nurture and restore balance in the body.
Whole Body Health
“With body, mind, and spirit functioning perfectly as a coordinated whole, what else could reasonably be expected other than an active, alert, disciplined person?” — Joseph Pilates, Return to Life
Whole Body Commitment
“To achieve the highest accomplishments within the scope of our capabilities in all walks of life, we must constantly strive to acquire strong, healthy bodies and develop our minds to the limit of our ability”. – Joseph Pilates
Breath
“To breathe correctly you must completely exhale and inhale, always trying very hard to squeeze every atom of impure air from your lungs in much the same manner that you would wring every drop of water from a wet cloth”. – Joseph Pilates
Why Pilates? It's a Practice for Every Body
Pilates is more than just exercise—it’s a foundation for lifelong movement. Unlike high-impact workouts that strain the joints, Pilates is gentle yet powerful, designed to strengthen muscles, improve posture, enhance flexibility, and boost coordination. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, navigating the physical changes of pregnancy, or simply looking to feel more energized and strong, Pilates meets you where you are.
As we age, our bodies naturally lose muscle mass, mobility, and balance, leading to discomfort, stiffness, and a higher risk of injury. Pilates is one of the best ways to counteract these effects, helping to:
- Strengthen the Core & Stabilize the Spine – Reducing back pain and improving posture.
- Enhance Mobility & Flexibility – Keeping your body agile and fluid.
- Improve Balance & Coordination – Reducing the risk of falls and injuries.
- Promote Mind-Body Awareness – Encouraging better movement patterns and body confidence.
